My baby is two years old, and I can’t believe it! At first, I had a hard time coming up with a theme for her birthday but ultimately decided on her favourite show ever…Cocomelon.
If you have no idea what this show is then count yourself lucky. I have been trying to get Capri to love any other show/movie. I’ve shown her everything from Frozen to Moana, The Wiggles & Sesame Street but no no no my daughter always only wants to watch “Coco” (as she likes to say it) over and over and over until I put it on. OH THE JOYS! (lol)
So this year we went with a full on Cocomelon theme and hosted a party in our home. Everything from the balloons/décor, cake and even having Cocomelon on during the party with no volume on a loop. At the end of the day even though my living room looked like a Cocomelon shrine, she was SO happy with it and that’s what really mattered to me! Full breakdown/photos below & all links included!
The Cake
The cakes were made by Brandon’s aunt. She did three in total in a Cocomelon colour scheme.
The Décor
The balloons were done by @sarandipityconcepts (you can find them on Instagram)! Capri freaked out when she saw them for the first time!
I also bought a few more balloons off Amazon along with the banners & cake toppers.
I am also linking Capri’s new bike here since so many of you asked where we got it from! It was her first birthday gift from her my sister, her auntie Jackie!!
The Food/Menu
The food was catered by The Food Dudes Pantry.
Our menu consisted of:
- Bangkok Fresh Rolls
- Mushroom Flatbread
- Chicken Satay
- Smoked Brisket Sliders
- Truffle Mac and Cheese
The brownies were made by Edelmans and I had my mom bring them with her from Montreal because they are that good!
As much as I didn’t love the theme what I did love was the reaction on Capri’s face and how she walked around saying “COCO” repeatedly. She was happy which made it the best day ever!!
