Pickled shallots are amazing in so many things. Top them on sandwiches, salads, salmon & more!
Ingredients:
- 4 -6 shallots skin peeled and thinly sliced
- 2/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 4 tablespoons brown or white sugar
- 1 pinch Salt (optional)
Step 1: Get a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid to store the shallots. Glass is best.
Step 2: Slice the shallots
Step 3: Heat up the vinegar, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and turn off the heat.
Step 4: Stir in the shallots. Cover and allow to cool completely before pouring the shallots and vinegar into the jar. Store in refrigerator.
