The Holocaust was a very real & awful event that took place not too long ago. Antisemitism is happening every day all around us. We have a direct link to family members that survived so it’s up to us to spread awareness & educate others. Our grandmother & her sister survived Majdanek. They were the only two to survive out of a family of eight. Our grandfather survived Auschwitz & the number on his arm was a permanent reminder of what he went through.
We uncovered some footage from 2013 of our grandmother & her sister. They sat down with the Montreal Holocaust Museum to share a very raw & real story of what they went through. Some of these stories, not even their children have ever heard.
Watching this has been extremely painful but we truly can’t imagine the pain they went through not only living it..but also having to sit down many years later to share it. This is why it was so important for us to get hold of this footage & make sure to use it in a way to spread awareness so that we never forget it.
Please share this online & help us educate others. We urge you, not just on Yom Hashoah.. but every day. We need to stand together & spread awareness so that this never happens again.
